Chelsea have joined the race for Borussia Dortmund and Norway striker Erling Braut Haaland, 20, but Manchester City consider themselves as favourites to sign the Norwegian striker. (90 min)

Manchester United's hopes of signing Haaland could be weakened because of their relationship with his agent Mino Raiola, meaning Everton and England striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, 23, could be an alternative for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side. (Mirror)

Chelsea intend to free up funds to sign Haaland, and West Ham and England midfielder Declan Rice, by selling seven players: England's Ross Barkley, 27, Spaniard Marcos Alonso, 29, Germany's Antonio Rudiger, 27, Denmark's Andreas Christensen, 24, Italian Jorginho, 29, England's Danny Drinkwater, 30, and Nigeria's Victor Moses, 30. Paris St-Germain are looking at signing Rudiger, with the defender finding first-team opportunities hard to come by at Stamford Bridge. (Le Parisien - in French & subscription required)

Liverpool are interested in signing Real Madrid and Brazil defender Eder Militao, 22, while Argentine free agent Ezequiel Garay, 34, is also set to join Jurgen Klopp's side. (Todofichajes - in Spanish)

Liverpool also look set to sign Celta Vigo defender Stefan Bajcetic, 16, from under the noses of Manchester United - although a deal would have to be done before new Brexit transfer rules come into force on 1 January. (Liverpool Echo)

Mikael Arteta and Arsenal are interested in signing Real Madrid and Brazil forward Vinicius Jr, 20, on loan in January, but have decided against signing his team-mate and Spain midfielder Isco, 28, who is set to join Juventus. (Daily Star)

Barcelona are in talks to sign Arsenal and Germany defender Shkodran Mustafi, 28, on a free transfer when his contract at Emirates Stadium expires in the summer. (SPOX via 90 min)

Derby County boss Wayne Rooney wants to make former Manchester United and England team-mate Phil Jones, 28, his first signing, although the Rams could face competition from West Brom and Burnley. (Metro)

Manchester United want to use their option to extend Jesse Lingard's contract by another year to 2022, ensuring the 28-year-old English winger will not be able to leave on a free transfer when his current deal expires next summer. (Mail)

Everton and Wolves are set to challenge AC Milan for Strasbourg and France defender Mohamed Simakan, 20, who is available for around £20m. (Tutto Mercato Web - in Italian)

Barcelona are trying to convince Spain midfielder Riqui Puig to sign a new contract, but with a departure looking more likely Manchester City and Bayern Munich are both interested in the 21-year-old. (Fichajes - in Spanish)

West Ham consider Olivier Giroud switch

West Ham are considering a move for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud, who is struggling to get game time under Frank Lampard.

The Sun reports that West Ham could be the next stop in London for Olivier Giroud. The 34-year-old French international does not get regular game time with Chelsea under Frank Lampard, and a move to the Hammers would allow him to keep his place in the French international squad ahead of the rescheduled Euro 2020, assuming his form holds up.

Paper Round’s view: West Ham struggle in front of goal, and with David Moyes a straightforward striker is probably the best tactical match the West Ham manager could hope for. At 34, Giroud seems in excellent physical shape and could offer a couple of years yet in attack and it would take the pressure off the injured Michail Antonio and the underwhelming Sebastian Haller.

David Moyes is said to have doubts over the Ivorian's suitability and wants to bring in an established forward in January, according to the Mirror.

West Ham are said to be open to offloading out-of-favour Andriy Yarmolenko in order to fund the move.

The East Londoners have also been linked with former hitman Marko Arnautovic as well as summer target Josh King from Bournemouth.

Frank Lampard would prefer to keep Giroud but the France international is keen to play more to secure his place at next summer's Euros.
